Abstract submissions are now closed.






Submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed by the NEC Society’s Scientific Advisory Council. Authors whose abstracts are accepted will receive a time slot to present during the NEC Virtual Sessions.  

Who should submit an abstract?

  • Individuals/teams engaged in understanding the pathogenesis of NEC, improving the prevention and treatment of NEC, and/or driving patient-centered outcomes research
  • Neonatal fellows and pediatric residents
  • Surgical fellows and residents
  • Nurses, pharmacists and dietitians
  • Neonatal nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Graduate students, medical students, post-docs, other scholars and researchers

Priority will be given to abstracts focused on the following aspects of neonatal NEC:

  • Early detection and prevention 
  • Human milk
