CRRT UNIVERSITY is designed for health care providers caring for infants, children and/or adults receiving Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).  This one and one-half day course combines interactive didactic small course instruction (6 hours) with a full day simulation course.  Medical professionals (RN and MD) are provided with an integrated platform to acquire new skills and abilities that will:

• Improve aptitude in caring for CRRT patients
• Increase working knowledge of the CRRT machine and ability to troubleshoot alarms
• Enhance abilities to navigate and adapt to complex situations involving CRRT
• Develop strategies for addressing challenging communication issues and program structure

External Simulation Program:

$250 - Nurse
$300 - Physician

Note:  This course can only accommodate 12 participants per session.

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Specific accreditation information will be provided for each activity.

CME: This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

Nursing: This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

MOC Part 2: Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) and American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP, & ABIM MOC credit.
