Abstract submissions are now closed.

The goals and objectives of these sessions are to allow the health care faculty and educator audience to further develop professionally by presenting cutting-edge education topics in an interactive environment. The workshops will be 90 minutes in length and should be as interactive as possible.

The target audience for this conference are health care professionals involved in the education of students, residents, fellows and other health care professionals. Participants will include physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals who have a role in teaching and supervising learners in a clinical setting.  All workshop submissions should keep this target audience in mind.

To ensure that interactive workshops appeal to a an interprofessional audience, priority will be given to workshops whose presenters are representative of more than one health care discipline or profession. However, single profession presenters are also welcome to submit abstracts. The most successful workshops address innovative ideas, learner-centered needs, and utilize an interactive format.

Major criteria for workshop selection will include:
1) A timely and important topic for the intended audience
2) Clear and appropriate learning objectives
3) Format that is interactive and attractive for participants
4) Aligns with one of the categories below

Categories for workshop submissions
1) Provider & Learner Burnout
2) Innovative Learning Initiatives
3) Equity & Diversity
4) Other Educational Topic

Requirements for abstract submissions:
1) Workshop will include a maximum of 4 presenters
2) All workshop presenters MUST be available on BOTH days of the conference
3) All presenters (max. 4) of accepted workshops will receive a discount on the  registration fee.  All other travel, hotel and incidental costs are the responsibility of the presenter(s).
While the format may vary, workshops should be designed to facilitate discussions between workshop leaders and the participants. The workshops may include a short didactic presentation, but the overlying intention of these sessions is to actively involve the attendees in the learning process.

The deadline for workshop submissions is March 3, 2020 at 12:00pm EST. We plan on notifying presenters if their workshop has been accepted by the end of March.
