This conference will feature empirical and traditional philosophical investigation into ethical aspects of applying genetics and genomics to diverse clinical and research domains in biomedicine. We invite the submission of a wide variety of abstracts focusing on all aspects of the intersection of genetics/genomics and ethics, including:

• Community engagement
• Commercial use of genetics research
• Consent, especially broad/open-ended consent and use of residual samples
• Neurological and mental health research
• Return of results to participants,including children/parents
• Incidental/secondary findings

Abstracts will be accepted for works not currently accepted for publication. All abstracts will be selected for two types of presentations: podium or poster. Abstracts not accepted for Podium Presentation will be considered for Poster Presentation.

Podium: Investigators selected for presentations will have fifteen minutes to present their work, followed by five minutes of audience questions.

Poster: Accepted posters will be displayed during the conference on a provided board (approx. 4’ x 6’).

Submission Requirements:

• Limit of 1 presenter per abstract
• Completed electronic bio- disclosure for the presenter and any listed authors
• Title
• 1 main learning objective and 3-4 supporting content objectives (from the audience perspective)
• Abstract must contain: Background, Study Objectives*, Study Results*, and Conclusions/Implications for practice. (500 total word limit - 1200 character max)
