About Us

Founded in 1883, Cincinnati Children’s vision is to be the leader in improving child health. With over 600 registered beds,  Cincinnati Children’s is a not-for-profit organization, serves as the only children’s hospital in the Cincinnati metropolitan area (population 2.3 million). It is ranked No. 1 in the U.S. News and World Report Honor Roll of top pediatric hospitals in the magazine’s Best Children’s Hospitals report and nationally ranked in the top 10 in all 10 sub-specialty categories.

 

 In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. This designation recognizes our dedication to education “for the team, by the team” and allows us to offer physician, nursing, and pharmacy credit at a national level.  We are the first provider in Ohio and the second pediatric institution in the country to earn this designation!

CME
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at Cincinnati’s Children’s provides activities with the expectation that knowledge and clinical skills of all participants will be advanced and enhanced, leading to improvements in competence, performance and patient outcomes. CME activities and services provided include organizing, promoting, and presenting CME via a variety of formats (lecture, series, conferences, symposiums, webcasts, and online archives) for physicians, APRN’s and other health care providers.


CPE-Ed
The Center for Professional Excellence / Education at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center exists to develop, present and/or support educational opportunities and services that enhance the ability of our customers to deliver high-quality pediatric care. CPE-Ed designs educational programming to meet continuing education requirements for clinical staff.
