22nd Annual Advanced Practice Provider Regional Conference
April 29 and April 30, 2021

This virtual conference is developed for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants. Topics this year will include:

•     Common ENT Complaints
•     Infectious Disease Updates

Keynote Speaker - Visael "Bobby" Rodriguez

Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations

Bobby has over 30 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, culture change, talent Visael “Bobby” Rodriguez is the vice president of diversity, inclusion, and community relations for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He is responsible of leading Cincinnati Children’s in their development and deployment of strategies to support and sustain diversity, equity, inclusion and community engagement.

Bobby brings a strong background and absolute passion for diversity and inclusion from personal experience and professional roles in the health and healthcare industry. He will build a vibrant, culturally sensitive and inclusive environment, maintain strong community partnerships, and deliver on our mission with excellence.

Bobby comes to Cincinnati Children’s with more than 30 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, culture change, talent management, community relations, sales, marketing, and business development. Most recently, he served as the vice president, chief human resources officer and facilities for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He was also chief diversity officer at Baystate Health in western Massachusetts and held roles at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Baltimore and Xerox Corporation.

Objectives:

• Apply clinical judgment using case studies and current research.
• Explain pathophysiologic concepts related to various pediatric diseases and anomalies.
• Discuss methods to encourage professionalism, advocacy, and critical thinking in advanced practice.

 In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nursing: This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

Physician Assistant:  Cincinnati Children’s has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
