Overview
In celebration of the 100th birthday of the Rachford Department of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati, we are hosting a virtual speaker series entitled, “Envisioning Our Future For Children.”

The series begins with a widely respected leader in global health issues: Jim Yong Kim, MD, PhD.

In 1987, Kim co-founded the organization Partners In Health in partnership with Paul Farmer, Todd McCormack, Thomas White, and Ophelia Dahl.

The organization launched new, community-focused health care programs in Haiti that served hundreds of thousands of people. Kim’s work with Partners in Health is documented in the 2017 film Bending the Arc.

After leaving Partners in Health, Kim served as chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard University, president of Dartmouth College and president of the World Bank (2012-19).


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Specific accreditation information will be provided for each activity.
