Overview

For both the introductory and advanced treatment of fecal incontinence and constipation, we offer a nationally-recognized intensive Bowel Management Program. We invite you to share your patients and journey with us through a week, under the guidance of our expert nurses, nurse practitioners, surgeons, and collaborating specialists. This immersive experience will offer an interesting mix of bowel management topics and live case studies to learn together.  

 

Daily the virtual program will occur at the following times:

  • February 10 2022 - 3pm-6:30pm
  • February 14, 2022 - 3pm-5pm
  • February 15, 2022 - 3pm-5pm
  • February 16, 2022 - 3pm-5pm
  • February 17, 2022 - 3pm-5pm

Do you have a patient for us to follow?

We are looking for bowel management patients from other centers to follow in real time throughout our interactive course.  We are looking for discussions on a diverse set of diagnoses including:

  • Anorectal Malformation
  • Hirschprung's Disease
  • Spina Bifida
  • Functional constipation/colonic dysmotility

Submitting providers must be able to:

  • Provide patient history
  • Close communication with the patient family during the conference week (February 10-17)

Objectives
  1. Discuss roles of the health care team in bowel management and running a bowel management program.
  2. Develop a pediatric, colorectal bowel management program.
  3. Utilize best practice in bowel management to care for patients with fecal incontinence.
  4. Examine innovative bowel management care practices
