FAQ
Q:  Is there E. coli in the water supply at the new hotels?
A:  No, there is no E. coli in the water supply for the new hotels.  Their water supply is provided by a different source than the Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort uses.

Q:  What areas of San Diego are impacted by E. coli?
A:  As of 8.25.23 @ 9:00 am this is the area affected. 

Q:  What has happened to my hotel reservation at Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort?
A:  The hotel has made an alternate reservation for you at one of our new hotels (Hard Rock Hotel San Diego or Omni San Diego).  You will be notified by email of your new hotel reservation information.

Q:  Will my hotel room rate be different than at the Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort?
A:  All of our new hotels are honoring the rate established at the Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort.

Q:  Will I have to cancel my own hotel reservation at the Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort?
A:  No, the staff at Loew’s will cancel your reservation on your behalf.

Q:  Will the Hard Rock Hotel accommodate my indicated dietary needs?
A:  Yes, if we have communicated with you in regards to your dietary needs, we will ensure they can be met at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Q:  Will this change impact the agenda of the NEC Symposium 2023?
A:  No, the agenda and all workshops will remain the same.

Q:  I had supplies/a poster shipped to the Loew's Coronado Bay Resort. Do I have to go find it?
A:  No, all supplies shipped to the Loew's will be picked up and delivered to the Hard Rock Hotel. If you have not yet spoken to a Cincinnati Children's CME or NEC Society Staff member, email [email protected] with your shipping details. Please include your tracking number and number of boxes.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received prior to June 27, 2023 are fully refundable.  Cancellations received between June 28-July 27, 2023 will receive a 50% refund.  Cancellations received after July 27, 2023 are not refundable.  All refund requests must be made by email to [email protected].

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Specific accreditation information will be provided for each activity.

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

Dietitians:  This conference provides credit through Cincinnati Children's accreditation with Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (JA). The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) accepts credits awarded by JA providers. Credits should be reported with a 1:1 reciprocity up to the total activity maximum. Dietitians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

A limited number of discounted guest rooms have been reserved at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort for this conference. Room rates are $239/night plus tax. Room reservations for the conference must be made by August 19, 2023. To reserve a room, please visit the conference hotel site. 

Air Travel:  The San Diego International Airport is approximately 14 miles (25 minute drive) from the Loews Coronado Bay resort.  If ground transportation is needed, please utilize local taxis, Uber, or Lyft.
