5th Annual Southern Ohio Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nursing (SOAPHON) Symposium 4.28.2023

The 2023 Southern Ohio Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nursing (SOAPHON) Symposium is an opportunity for nurses to enhance their knowledge in oncology and hematology diagnosis and treatments. These topics include: Adult Sickle cell and Apheresis, DIPG, Fertility Issues and Options, Genetics, and Social Work Support. You will also have the opportunity talk with a parent and patient panel about their experiences and how nursing effected their time here at CCHMC.  

1. The learner will apply new knowledge related to innovative cancer therapies to improve outcomes in the pediatric/AYA hematology/oncology population
2. Examine different care needs related to the variable diagnosies in which care providers interact within the hematology/oncology patient population
3. Prepare learners to apply current research/best practice recommendations within the hematology/oncology population

Cancellations received on or before April 14, 2023 are fully refundable.  Cancellation received after April 14, 2023 will be refunded at 50%. 

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Specific accreditation information will be provided for each activity.

This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.
