  • Jesse Skoch, MD, FAANS Pediatric Neurosurgeon, Neurological Surgery, Cincinnati Children's

And will be moderated by:

The speakers will review evidence-based comparisons of operative vaginal delivery and cesarean delivery, therapeutic hypothermia for neonatal encephalopathy, and effective subgaleal and neonatal fracture management. Summit speakers will equip participants with valuable insights and practice applications that can impact the delivery and care of the mother-infant dyad.

Purpose
The purpose of the 22nd Annual Regional Perinatal Summit is to bring together clinical and public health leaders committed to enhancing perinatal care and pregnancy outcomes within the region. Through collaborative discussions, review of current perinatal issues and data analysis, we aim to identify actionable ideas that can drive improvements in maternal and neonatal health.

Target Audience
The Annual Regional Perinatal Summit is tailored for a diverse range of dedicated professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and other perinatal health professional providing services to pregnant women and their families.


Objectives
  1. Discuss regional birth rate performance statistics.
  2. Describe neonatal subgaleal injury and fracture management.
  3. List two criteria for therapeutic hypothermia for newborns with HIE.
  4. Discuss the uses of operative and cesarean delivery, their indications, risks and a comparison of the two approaches.
  5. Outline the history of these two approaches and new developments in obstetric instrumentation.
  6. Explain the importance of interprofessional teamwork in instrumentation delivery and the prevention of neonatal head injury.

Registration

This conference will be held live both in-person and online.

Registration is free and required to attend.


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physician: This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Nursing: This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

MOCpt2: Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics' (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
