The NEC Society, Cincinnati Children’s, and UNC Children’s are proud to announce the NEC Symposium in Chicago, September 7 – 10, 2025.

As the world’s largest conference focused on necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), the NEC Symposium will bring together key stakeholders to unite the global community for a world without NEC.

Our goal is to cover the costs for at least 15 patient-families who have been personally affected by NEC to join us in Chicago for the NEC Symposium. Please consider donating to help us cover the costs of patient-family participation on the registration page.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received prior to July 1, 2025 are fully refundable.  Cancellations received between July 1-Aug 5, 2025 will receive a 50% refund.  Cancellations received after August 5, 2025 are not refundable.  All refund requests must be made by email to [email protected].


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
 

Physician: This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Nursing: This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

Physician Assistants: Cincinnati Children’s has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined..

IPCE: This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change. 

 The credit hours listed below are not final, please check back closer to the activity for final approved credit hours.
