16th Annual Blood and Marrow Transplant Nursing Forum 8.30.2024

Join us in Sabin Auditorium for our annual forum that presents current issues and innovations affecting the care of bone and marrow transplant patients. Topics include:

• Transpire/BO/Lung Disease
• Research
• HLH Pathology
• Nephrology
• Donor Search
• Patient/Family experiences 

There is a very limited amount of virtual attendance available

1. Examine how patient centered research collaborates closely with BMT care staff and patient/families to provide high quality care for the BMT population.
2. Describe HLH and current treatment modalities and interventions.
3. Analyze how the donor search process works, and the key components needed for matching a donor.
4. Discuss clinical management of the BMT patient with renal complications.
5. Recognize the RN role in the patient and family experience and how it affects patient outcomes.

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nursing: This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.
