Overview
Please join us on Friday, October 11, 2024 for a dynamic exploration of Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome, or NOWS, hosted by the Cincinnati Children’s Perinatal Institute. This year’s conference will review care impacting the mother-baby dyad, clinical education & research in the setting of NOWS.

The purpose of the Annual Regional Perinatal Summit is to bring together clinical and public health leaders committed to enhancing perinatal care and pregnancy outcomes within the region. Through collaborative discussions, review of current perinatal issues and data analysis, we aim to identify actionable ideas that can drive improvements in maternal and neonatal health.

Summit is tailored for a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, lactation consultants, and other perinatal health professionals providing services to pregnant women and their families.

Speakers will discuss updates from the American Academy of Pediatrics on Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome, breastfeeding as a nonpharmacologic intervention, and other updated treatment protocols.

Objectives
  1. Integrate collaborative care approaches to improve outcomes for the mother-baby dyad.
  2. Implement collaborative approaches to manage symptoms in infants with NOWS.
  3. Enhance interprofessional collaboration to deliver standardized perinatal care, with a focus on shared decision-making and the role of mothers as active partners.

Registration
This conference will be held live both in-person and online.

Registration is free and required to attend.
