A Rich History
The Aspen Conference on Pediatric Gastrointestinal Disease was established by William Balistreri, MD, nearly five decades ago and has since grown into one of the most prestigious annual gatherings in the field. Each year, leading pediatric gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and specialists gather explore cutting-edge research and innovations in pediatric GI care. The conference, hosted by Cincinnati Children’s, is known for its intimate and collaborative atmosphere, allowing for rich discussions and interactions between faculty and attendees. 

The Legacy Continues:

Co-Directors, Dr. Stavra Xanthakos and Dr. Julie Bonn continue the momentum with dynamic topics and expert faculty.  This collaborative environment features engaging Q&A sessions, case presentations, and interactive discussions. We are excited to invite submissions for our 47th Annual Aspen Conference on Pediatric Gastrointestinal Disease - Advances in Pediatric Liver Disease & Liver Transplantation sessions at the upcoming conference on Pediatric Liver Diseases, to be held in Snowmass Village, CO from July 14-18, 2025. This session will provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals to present interesting or challenging cases related to pediatric liver diseases.

Cancellation Policy
Early registration is recommended, as attendance is limited. Cancellations received on or before June 10, 2025 are fully refundable. After June 10, 2025, a $75 processing fee will be charged for cancellations. 

Should Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center cancel this conference, registration fees will be reimbursed in full. However, Cincinnati Children’s is not responsible for any other costs incurred by the participant.

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physician:  This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Nursing:   This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

Physician Associate:  Cincinnati Children’s has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.

MOCpt2: Completion of this CME activity, which includes learner assessment and feedback, enables the learner to earn points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

Air Travel Information
Aspen-Pitkin County Airport/Sardy Field (ASE) is approximately 7 miles from Snowmass Village and 4 miles from the Aspen business district. The airport is served by United Airlines, American Airlines and Delta regional jets. Complimentary ground transportation to and from the airport is offered to attendees staying at the Viewline Resort.  Reservations for the shuttle are strongly encouraged.  Call the Viewline's main line at (970) 923-8200 and press 4 for " Airport Transportation and Parking Information"

Denver International Airport (DIA) is approximately a 3.5 hour drive to/from Snowmass Village.
