Perinatal Outreach: External Neonatal Resuscitation Program 2025

Cincinnati Children’s Perinatal Outreach program is excited to now offer NRP instructor-led courses for our community healthcare providers!

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an educational program designed for healthcare professionals who provide care to newborns at birth. NRP applies an evidence-based method to teaching Healthcare providers the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitative care.

The instructor-led course is the required 2nd part of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, co-sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association. During this course, health care providers will participate in the hands-on skills portion of the program that includes a neonatal simulation and debriefing session.

This course does not include the online portion of the program which is to be completed prior to attendance.

Pre-Requisite

Complete the online exam and course survey though the NRP Learning Platform (https://nrplearningplatform.com) within 90 days of this instructor-led course. You must bring your certification verifying you completed the online curriculum in order to participate (generated after completing the survey.)

You may complete either the Essentials or Advanced curriculums. We recommend checking with your employer to determine which curriculum is most appropriate for you. Purchase of the online curriculum is not included in the cost of this instructor-led course.
