A Rich History
The Aspen Conference on Pediatric Gastrointestinal Disease was established by William Balistreri, MD, nearly five decades ago and has since grown into one of the most prestigious annual gatherings in the field. Each year, leading pediatric gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and specialists gather explore cutting-edge research and innovations in pediatric GI care. The conference, hosted by Cincinnati Children’s, is known for its intimate and collaborative atmosphere, allowing for rich discussions and interactions between faculty and attendees.

 

The Legacy Continues:

Co-Directors, Dr. Stavra Xanthakos and Dr. Julie Bonn continue the momentum with dynamic topics and expert faculty.  This collaborative environment features engaging Q&A sessions, case presentations, and interactive discussions. The intimate setting fosters meaningful interactions between attendees and faculty. Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physician:  This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Nursing:   This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

Physician Associate:  Cincinnati Children’s has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.

MOCpt2: Completion of this CME activity, which includes learner assessment and feedback, enables the learner to earn points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

Please note that Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) will be closed during the summer of 2027. Attendees are encouraged to book flights into one of the following alternative airports:

  • Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) – approximately 1.5 hours from Snowmass Village

  • Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) – approximately 2.5 hours from Snowmass Village

  • Denver International Airport (DEN) – approximately 3.5 to 4 hours from Snowmass Village

Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is the closest and most convenient alternative airport. We are currently working on transportation solutions and will provide additional information regarding transportation assistance and transfer options from Eagle County Airport as details become available.
