Overview

The presentation will discuss the course of treatment for a dysphagia patient presenting to the hospital at three life stages: inpatient admission in infancy, outpatient swallow study, and early speech/language evaluation.  Course of treatment and clinical decision making will be discussed, along with description of optimal patient outcomes, collaborative professional relationships, and potential roadblocks to care.  Review of best practice and patient video will support this learning.

This program is offered for 0.1 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, professional area), 1040 Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia)
