The First International Pediatric Cardio-Oncology Conference is jointly sponsored by Sofia’s Hope, the Cardio-Oncology Program at Cincinnati Children’s, and and the Department of Pediatrics at The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo/John R. Oishei Children's Hospital.  

The First International Pediatric Cardio-Oncology Conference has been postponed due to COVID-19.  All registration fees will be refunded in full.

The planning committee hopes to schedule a new date in the coming months.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together thought-leaders, practitioners, and advocates in the field of pediatric cardio-oncology for a uniquely focused session. Topics to be covered include:  

•    Emerging therapies in pediatric cardio-oncology, including ICI, targeted therapies, CAR T-cell
•    Approach to therapy in patients with cardiotoxicity
•    Cardiometabolic syndrome and cardiovascular risk factors in survivors of pediatric cancer
•    Cardio-protective strategies in cancer therapy
•    Surveillance for cardiotoxicity
•    Case presentations and patient discussion with experts in the field of cardio-oncology

Non-Physician/Trainee- $200

After July 20, 2020:
Late Physician - $325
Late Non-Physician/Trainee– $225

Early registration is recommended. Cancellations received on or before September 30, 2020, are fully refundable. After September 30, 2020, no refunds will be provided. 

 

          

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Cincinnati Children’s, Oishei Children’s Hospital, and Sofia’s Hope.  Cincinnati Children’s is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

CME: This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. This activity is designed for the additional hours required for APRNs with prescriptive authority in Ohio.

ABP MOC Part 2: Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

CNE: This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours. This activity is designed for the additional hours required for APRNs with prescriptive authority in Ohio.

Pharmacy: This activity is approved of continuing pharmacy education.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
